AllAnswered helps teams collectively manage and grow their knowledge base using what we call Micro-documents™ such as Q&As, blogs, articles, ideas and polls. With this integration, now you can see what your team members posting on AllAnswered without leaving Slack.
Traditionally teams rely on documentation to capture and share knowledge using tools such as Sharepoint and Confluence. Let's face it. We all hate documentation. It is time-consuming to create and in today's fast changing world, it also becomes outdated really quickly. Over time, it becomes increasingly difficult to find specific knowledge buried in the long documents. Even after you find that information, how can you be sure it is still valid? IDC shows that “knowledge workers spend about 2.5 hours per day, or roughly 30% of the workday, searching for information to do their job."
Just like Slack using channels to facilitate team communication, AllAnswered leverages the power of communities to capture team knowledge, keep it up-to-date and grow it over time. You can create communities for projects, groups or common interests. The Micro-documents used by AllAnswered are short, efficient and highly targeted. Integrated with your existing work flow, your team knowledge is at your fingertips whenever you need it. AllAnswered does not replace document systems such as Sharepoint and Confluence; it complements them and makes them smart. Using AllAnswered, you will see a significant boost to your team's productivity.
Once an AllAnswered team is connected to a Slack team by the team owner, the administrators/moderators of any community can map their community to a specific Slack channel so that the new posts in the AllAnswered community are automatically posted to the corresponding Slack channel. To map to a private channel, you will need to invite the AllAnswered bot, aabot, to the channel first.
